Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford returned to practice Thursday for the first time since a worsening hip injury forced him to leave Detroit’s Week 3 overtime loss to the Titans late in the fourth quarter.
LStafford’s return comes one week after he injured his hip in practice, and his participation in individual drills open to media increases the likelihood that he’ll be available to face the Vikings Sunday at Ford Field.
Stafford appeared to be able to move without limitation during skeleton and passing drills, and he took snaps with Detroit’s other quarterbacks before the full team practice began.
WR Titus Young (knee) and TE Tony Scheffler (calf) also returned to practice Thursday after being held out of Wednesday’s workout. S Louis Delmas (knee), DT Corey Williams (knee), and LB Travis Lewis (quad) were the only Lions who didn’t participate in drills open to media.
