There are many different ways an NFL player can use social media to let fans know that A) he has a football game coming up; and B) he is thinking a lot about it.
Take Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis, for example. He went with the Instagram post of an inspirational quote.

Pretty standard fare, even if it was unusual in that this quote happens to be attributed to his head coach and isn't all that inspirational.
Denver's DeMarcus Ware got a little more creative with his Instagramming, using a program to merge three pictures of the Broncos at practice into one.

Then there's Eugene Monroe of the Baltimore Ravens, who posted an Instagram video of his daughter (who turned three years old on Friday) wishing him good luck in the game.

Injured Seahawks defensive lineman Jesse Williams Twittered a shot of the lit-up Seattle skyline, photoshopped with a Seahawks-looking logo in air.

Not to be outdone, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams somehow snuck a Batman-symbol-esque Panthers logo into the Seattle sky.

And then there's Emmanuel Sanders, who posted a short Vine of himself catching a pass against this week's opponent -- the Colts -- from the season's opening game, with a little tidbit that let us know how hard he has been preparing all week.
Along with that Vine, Sanders wrote on Twitter, "Caught at least 2500 [footballs] this week even forced the wife 2 play catch every night b4 bed. #brokennails" That's dedication, Mrs. Sanders.
