The Panthers have announced they've waived wide receiver Jason Avant Tuesday. To replace Avant, the Panthers promoted wide receiver De’Andre Presley from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
In 11 games, Avant has 21 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown. Coach Ron Rivera indicated the team would like to give its younger receivers more of an opportunity.
