We're halfway home this NFL season. Here are the top performers, my halfway All-Pro team:

OFFENSE

QB -- Aaron Rodgers, Packers: He has 25 touchdown passes after a slow start. He's the NFL's best.

WR -- A.J. Green, Bengals: He has eight touchdown catches and is proving that his rookie season was no fluke.

WR -- Brandon Marshall, Bears: He is tied for third, behind Green and James Jones, with seven touchdown catches and is proving to be a steal for the Bears.

RB -- Adrian Peterson, Vikings: Has he bounced back from the blown-up knee or what? What an impressive season he is having after a slow start.

FB -- Marcel Reece, Raiders: I hate conventional fullbacks who are really just extra guards. So my pick is Reese, who catches passes and can also block some.

TE -- Rob Gronkowski, Patriots: He's not putting up crazy numbers like last season, but he's still the best.

LT -- Ryan Clady, Broncos: He is doing a great job protecting Peyton Manning's blind side. Gets an edge over Houston's Duane Brown.

LG -- Mike Iupati, 49ers: He is a road grader in the run game and has improved in pass protection.

C -- Mike Pouncey, Dolphins: He is a mauler in the middle of the line. Edges out San Francisco's Jonathan Goodwin.

RG -- Marshal Yanda, Ravens: He has bounced back from a so-so season for him in 2011 to play a high level.

RT -- Anthony Davis, 49ers: He doesn't get the acclaim of some of his teammates on the line, but he's been dominant at times.

K -- Blair Walsh, Vikings: This rookie has missed one field goal and he's second in touchbacks in the league.

DEFENSE

E -- Cameron Wake, Dolphins: With the way the Dolphins choke off the run, it allows Wake to be a force coming off the edge.

T -- Geno Atkins, Bengals: He has seven sacks and has played the run well. He gets the edge over Chicago's Henry Melton and Gerald McCoy.

T -- Randy Starks, Dolphins: He is a force inside, a big reason why the Dolphins are first in run defense.

E -- J.J. Watt, Texans: He's a 3-4 end, who has been a force against the run and getting pressure.

OLB -- Von Miller, Broncos: His speed off the edge is key to the Denver defense. He's also improved as run player.

OLB -- Lance Briggs, Bears: He looks years younger the way he is playing.

ILB -- NaVorro Bowman, 49ers: In the tape I've watched, he's been a little better than Patrick Willis.

ILB -- Daryl Washington, Cardinals: He has eight sacks and he makes a ton of tackles.

CB -- Champ Bailey, Broncos: All he does is line up on the best receiver each week. His is special. Edges out Charles Tillman.

CB -- Richard Sherman, Seahawks: He backs up his brash talk with a great ability to cover people.

FS -- Eric Weddle, Chargers: He has range and he tackles. He's the best in the game right now. Gets the edge over Earl Thomas.

SS  -- Reshad Jones, Dolphins: Every time I watch the kid on tape, he's making plays. He's getting better and better.

P -- Thomas Morstead, Saints: He is the leader in net average and gross average. He is averaging 51.3 yards per punt. Wow.

KR -- Percy Harvin, Vikings: I could have put him on as a receiver, but he gets the nod as a returner.

Special teams -- Johnson Bademosi, Browns: He always seems to find a way to be near the football. Darrell Stuckey of the Chargers is another.
