It would not come as much of a surprise if the Redskins released defensive end Stephen Bowen, thus saving $5.5 million, reports the Washington Post. Bowen, 30, is entering the final year of his deal after making just 11 tackles in eight games last season.
Bowen is scheduled to make a base salary of $5.4 million, plus $1.5 million of his original signing bonus and a $1 million restructuring bonus from last year.
