Bill Belichick said RG Brian Waters is excused from mandatory mini-camp for personal reasons. He wouldn't answer whether Waters is definitely returning, but the 35-year-old veteran is expected to be back. Waters hasn't participated in previous off seasons with the Chiefs, and he likely reached an understanding with the Patriots. Belichick said Waters played "great" last season.
