Seahawks vs. Bears updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday

Game Recap

The best player on the turf between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears on Sunday ended up on the losing team. Although he couldn't prevent a 25-24 loss to Chicago, RB Rashaad Penny rushed for one TD and 135 yards on 17 carries. Penny had some trouble finding his footing against the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday, so this was a step in the right direction.

In addition to Penny, Seattle got help from QB Russell Wilson, who passed for two TDs and 181 yards on 27 attempts. Wilson ended up with a passer rating of 140.

No one had a standout game offensively for the Bears, but they got scores from TE Jimmy Graham, RB David Montgomery, and RB Khalil Herbert.

Seattle, 5-10, has officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Chicago, 5-10, has officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

Seattle will be hunkering down at home again for their matchup against the Detroit Lions at 4:25 p.m. ET Jan. 2 at Lumen Field. Like the Seahawks, Detroit is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 20-16 to the Atlanta Falcons. The Bears will take on the New York Giants at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at home. Unlike Chicago, New York will be limping in after taking a loss.
