When the second round ends and only 62 players have been removed from the big board there are going to be at least 10 players with 2013 starting potential still on the board.
Last year is a great example of the potential of the third round. Russell Wilson not only led the Seahawks to the playoffs from the third round but he led a round that produced 89 starts from 17 different players. The Colts got TE Dwayne Allen and WR T.Y. Hilton in the third round. Tonight should be more of the same potential.
Is there a wide receiver like Hilton or Mohammed Sanu? Guys like Stedman Bailey, Da'Rick Rogers, Quinton Patton, Markus Wheaton and Aaron Dobson most likely will be available.
Is there a tight end like Dwayne Allen? Possibly, with guys like Gavin Escobar, Travis Kelce, Levine Toilolo, and Dion Sims still out there.
As for defensive backs, I really like the third round with players like Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Dwayne Gratz, Robert Alford, Tyrann Mathieu, Leon McFadden and Jamar Taylor. The 2013 draft may not have been star packed at the top of round one, but there are enough players left for the third round to top last year's 89 starts.
