Titans quarterback Charlie Whitehurst threw a pair of touchdowns Sunday, but it wasn't enough in a 19-17 loss Week 7 at Washington. Whitehurst completed 17 of 26 passes for 160 yards and one interception, while rushing for 10 yards.
Whitehurst threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Kendall Wright with 1:04 left in the second quarter to give Tennessee a 10-6 lead. He then threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to Derek Hagan with 7:41 left to put Tennessee ahead 17-16.
Whitehurst was making his third start this season in place of Jake Locker, who missed a second straight game Sunday due to a thumb injury. However, coach Ken Whisenhunt said after Sunday's loss he expects Locker to make his return Week 8 against the Texans.
