Titans rookie quarterback and second overall pick Marcus Mariota had something to prove when his team squared off Sunday against Tampa Bay and top selection Jameis Winston.

The first battle between the two was won handily by Mariota, who fired four touchdown passes in the first half in a rout of the Buccaneers. He had more scores than incompletions as he hit on 13 of 16 for 209 yards.

Mariota was on fire in the first 30 minutes. He hit Kendall Wright for a 52-yard touchdown less than two minutes into the game, then followed with scoring strikes to Bishop Sankey, Harry Douglas and Delanie Walker before the second quarter ended.

He will try to keep up the good work at Cleveland in Week 2.
