Ah, yes, those days, weeks and months before the NFL Draft that invariably result in grown men asking just-turned-20-somethings some of the most ridiculous questions you could imagine -- and plenty more that would never even cross your mind.
In the video above we have the latest example, courtesy of LSU safety Jalen Mills.
The question: "If you wanted to kill a guy, would you kill him with a gun or a knife?"
So, yeah, that's weird. But not as weird as Mills explaining how the team graded the answer. (Related: Some coach must really be enjoying "The People vs. O.J.")
Either way, add it to the list of silly questions.
Earlier this month, former Ohio St. cornerback Eli Apple said during an interview that a Falcons assistant asked him if he liked men.
That's potentially illegal. Sexual orientation discrimination is addressed in the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, but issues arise when the conversation is extended to include players who have left college but haven't yet begun their NFL careers. That's where Apple (ahem) fell -- as did Nick Kasa and Le'Veon Bell, players who were asked about their sexual orientation at the combine in 2010 and 2013, respectively.
In case you're wondering, the Falcons apologized several times, and coach Dan Quinn went so far as to call the question both "inappropriate and unprofessional."
Meanwhile, Jalen Mills, football player, is considered a second- or third-round pick, and CBSSports.com ranks him the No. 2 free safety prospect behind only Jalen Ramsey, who could go as high as third overall in next month's draft.
