Commanders' Nick Bellore: Retiring after 15 seasons
Bellore (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/retired list by the Commanders on Monday.
Bellore was let go to make room on the 90-man roster for cornerback Rasul Douglas. The special teamer is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is now calling it a career after 15 seasons. The Central Michigan product lasted that long in the NFL despite going undrafted, playing far more on special teams than defense during his career.

Commanders' Nick Bellore: Cleared to play Sunday
Bellore (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Eagles, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Bellore missed the Week 17 loss to the Cowboys, but the special-teamer is good to go for the regular-season finale. The 36-year-old Bellore has logged 11 tackles (seven solo) across 321 special-teams snaps.

Commanders' Nick Bellore: Out for Week 17
Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters that Bellore (concussion) won't play in Thursday's matchup against the Cowboys, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
The Central Michigan product likely sustained a concussion in the Week 16 loss to the Eagles, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Thursday. Bellore has played almost exclusively on special teams this season, recording 11 total tackles and one forced fumble across 15 appearances.

Bellore suffered a knee injury Sunday against Pittsburgh and is questionable to return.
Bellore was deemed questionable to return with just over two minutes remaining in the game, so it may be difficult for him to return if the injury is isn't minor. Prior to his exit, the linebacker notched one tackle on special teams. Bellore entered Sunday having played just six defensive snaps on the season, but he had logged 164 special-teams snaps over nine contests.
