Bears' Dan Skuta: Signs with Bears
Skuta signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Monday.
Skuta inked a lucrative five-year, $20.5 million deal with the Jaguars back in 2015 but was released last month after posting just 18 tackles in 13 games last season. Dan Skuta: Released by Jaguars
Skuta was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Skuta spent the past two seasons in Jacksonville but dealt with a string of injuries last year that limited his productivity, as he only managed to record 18 tackles and one pass deflection through 13 games in 2016. The drop-off in performance was enough for the Jaguars to sever ties with the once-starting outside linebacker, who was slated to make $12.3 million over the next three seasons.
