Ross Ventrone: Reaches injury settlement with Steelers
Ventrone (hamstring) and the Steelers have reached an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Ventrone was initially placed on the Steelers' waived/injured list, but the team will ultimately cut ties with the veteran defensive back. Ventrone recorded two tackles on special teams for the Patriots in 2015.

Ross Ventrone: Waived after suffering hamstring injury
The Steelers placed Ventrone (hamstring) on the waived/injured list Sunday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Ventrone was previously listed as Pittsburgh's backup free safety. If he clears waivers, he will most likely land on the team's injured reserve list.
