Swanson was waived by the Cowboys on Monday, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
Swanson was expected to provide cornerback depth for the team this season. He had a relatively uneventful preseason, as he posted just four tackles and one pass defended in four games. He failed to take the field in Sunday's loss to the Giants.
