Jarvis Jones: Receives injury settlement
The Cardinals released Jones (back) with an injury settlement Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Injuries conspired to contain Jones to only two preseason appearances, during which he notched two tackles (one solo). Otherwise, a quad concern and then a "disc issue" in his back hindered his availability in both practice and games. Once his injury settlement concludes, he'll be eligible to sign with another organization.

Cardinals' Jarvis Jones: Back issue stalling
Jones' back hasn't responded to an epidural injection and he may require another, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Sidelined since the early portions of camp, Jones doesn't appear to be nearing a return to action anytime in the near future. With Jones out, Nordly Capi saw a huge chunk of snaps (62) during the team's first preseason contest. Jones' extended absence could also impact his ability to immediately join the pass-rush rotation in his first season with Arizona.

Cardinals' Jarvis Jones: Out with back issue
Jones is out a week with a "disc issue," Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
This is not the same injury that planted Jones on the NFI list to begin training camp, as that was a quadriceps issue. Thankfully this new ailment doesn't seem to be anything serious.

Cardinals' Jarvis Jones: Practicing Tuesday
Jones (quad) practiced in a limited fashion Tuesday, Craig Grialou of ArizonaSports.com reports.
The 27-year-old linebacker was able to participate solely in positional drills Tuesday, but this is a sign that he'll be ready for preseason games. Jones will try to hang onto his role as the No. 3 outside linebacker, behind Chandler Jones and Markus Golden (foot).

Cardinals' Jarvis Jones: Lands on NFI list
The Cardinals placed Jones (quad) on the non-football injury list Friday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
After injuring his quadriceps during a test run Friday, Jones will focus on rehab rather than practice for the foreseeable future. Once cleared, he'll resume serving as depth to starting outside linebackers Chandler Jones and Markus Golden (foot).

Cardinals' Jarvis Jones: Injures quad
Jones injured his quadriceps during the Cardinals' first session of training camp Friday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
According to head coach Bruce Arians, Jones "tweaked" the quad muscle during Friday's run test, and it will likely require a few days of recovery. A free-agent pickup in the offseason, Jones is expected to provide depth at outside linebacker behind stalwarts Chandler Jones and Markus Golden (foot), who logged 87 and 71 percent of the defensive snaps, respectively, last season. As a result, Jarvis Jones will have difficulty getting on the field in 2017, apart from special-teams duty.
