Jake Coker: No plans to return to football
Coker (knee) has no plans to continue his playing career, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports. "I'm just going to move on," Coker said earlier this year. "I had another surgery when I was with the Cardinals, and that was kind of the last thing. I didn't want another surgery. I'm just kind of ready to move on. I'm excited about what's ahead."
Coker, who suffered a knee injury that required surgery in the summer prior to the 2016 season, appears content in hanging up the cleats. We'd be very surprised if he resurfaces in any level of competitive football.

Jake Coker: Waived/injured by Arizona
Coker (knee) was waived/injured by the Cardinals on Monday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
As anticipated, the Cardinals ultimately opted to part ways with the Alabama product. The decision became an easy one after it was announced Monday that Coker might need arthroscopic knee surgery. Drew Stanton and Matt Barkley will likely serve as Carson Palmer's primary backups throughout the season.

Cardinals' Jake Coker: May need arthroscopic knee surgery
Coker (knee) may need arthroscopic knee surgery, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Coker did not make the trip to Houston for Arizona's third preseason game as he continues to get opinions on his sore knee. If his knee does indeed require surgery, the former national champion quarterback very well could be out of a job.
