Brendel (hamstring) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's battle against the Rams, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Brendel hurt his hamstring in Week 7 against Atlanta and missed San Francisco's subsequent two contests. However, he was able to log an LP/LP/FP practice progression this week and has been given clearance to return to action Sunday. Matt Hennessy has done a serviceable job filling in at center the past two weeks, but Brendel figures to retake his starting role against the Rams.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Brendel is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Brendel sustained the injury during the 49ers' 20-10 win over the Falcons on Sunday. He started at center in each of the first seven games of the regular season, and his absence means Matt Hennessy will likely take over the as the 49ers' center for as long as Brendel is on the shelf.
