Coley injured his foot during the Titans' first preseason contest Friday, and after flying to meet with Dr. Robert Anderson on Monday to get a second opinion, he has been placed on injured reserve. The 27-year-old appeared in six games for the Cardinals last season, totaling 14 tackles and one sack. In his absence, Woodrow Hamilton and Naquan Jones will likely step in to his depth role.

Titans' Trevon Coley: Seeing doctor Monday
Coley plans to fly Monday to meet with Dr. Robert Anderson about the foot injury he suffered in the Titans' preseason game Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The 27-year-old defensive end appeared in six games for the Cardinals last season, collecting 14 tackles and one sack. He was having a good camp for the Titans, but sadly there is concern that his injury is season-ending. If Coley does have to miss the 2021 campaign, Woodrow Hamilton or Naquan Jones will likely step into his depth role.

Titans' Trevon Coley: Questionable to return
Coley is considered questionable to return to Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons due to a foot injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The severity of Coley's injury is unknown at this time. Given it is just a preseason game, expect the Titans to err on the side of caution here. Coley has been a journeyman thus far in his career, with stops in Cleveland, Indianapolis, New York and now Tennessee. He is competing for a job providing depth at linebacker this season.

Coley signed a contract with the Browns on Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
While Coley had little option but to sign the deal given his status as an exclusive-rights free agent, having him back in the fold for another year is great news for a Browns team that is already loaded along the defensive line. With that said, Coley could see a dip in playing time while playing behind the likes of Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson despite logging two consecutive seasons with at least 600 defensive snaps.
