Top Josh Kline News

  • Josh Kline: Done in Minnesota

The Vikings waived Kline on Wednesday.

Minnesota will be breaking in a new top guard to pair with Pat Elflein in 2020, as Kline started in all 13 of his appearances for the club in 2019. The 30-year-old's wealth of experience -- he's racked up 77 starts in 92 regular-season appearances during his seven-year career -- should allow him to find work elsewhere without too much trouble.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Returning in Week 13

Kline (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Seahawks.

Kline's return should help open up even more running lanes for Minnesota's Dalvin Cook-led ground game. Injuries have limited Kline to eight appearances this season.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Remains out Week 11

Kline (concussion) was ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Broncos.

Kline suffered the concussion during last week's win over the Cowboys and was unable to practice this week. The 29-year-old will remain sidelined until he fully clears the concussion protocol. Dakota Dozier should fill his starting role on the offensive line.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Being tested for concussion

Kline is being evaluated for a concussion, Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reports. His return to Sunday's game against Dallas should be considered questionable at this time.

Kline left the game to go to the locker room for testing. Dakota Dozier has taken over the spot on Minnesota's offensive line previously occupied by Kline.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Sheds foot injury

Kline (foot) is not listed on Friday's injury report, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.

Kline has successfully put the foot issue he picked up Week 5 behind him. He'll draw his usual start at right guard versus the Lions.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Ruled out versus Eagles

Kline (foot) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Kline picked up a foot issue Week 5 versus the Giants, and he'll require more time to recover before retaking the field. Look for one of Dru Samia or Dakota Dozier to start at right guard in Kline's stead.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Practices in full

Kline (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

It remains to be seen whether Kline has officially cleared the league's concussion protocol, but he certainly appears to be nearing a return to full health. The starting right guard is working to retake the field in time for Sunday's tilt against the Giants.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Will not play Sunday

Kline (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Kline suffered a concussion in last week's game against the Raiders and did not return. The head injury will now cost him at least one week, and Dakota Dozier is in line to start at right guard in Kline's absence.

  • Vikings' Josh Kline: Out for game

Kline is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Raiders with a concussion, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Now that Kline was officially diagnosed with a concussion, he will enter the league's mandated concussion protocol. The Kent State product will need to clear it before he's eligible to return to practice. With Kline sidelined, Dakota Dozier is in line to fill in at the right guard position.
