Richardson has reached an injury settlement with the Chargers.
Richardson has bounced around the league since going undrafted in 2013 out of Jackson State. It remains to be known what sort of injury he is dealing with, though, but he's now a free agent and will likely look to to sign with another team when he returns to full health.

Rico Richardson: Placed on waived/injured list
The Chargers have placed Richardson (undisclosed) on the waived/injured list Thursday, ESPN's Eric Williams reports.
Richardson signed on with San Diego less than two weeks ago, but suffered an unspecified injury during practice shortly thereafter and was forced from playing in the Chargers' preseason opener. If he clears waivers, he could be stashed on the team's injured reserve.

Titans' Rico Richardson: Promoted to Titans' active roster
Richardson was promoted to the Titans' active roster Saturday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.
With Harry Douglas (ribs) unable to go Sunday for a second straight week, Richardson was brought up from the Titans' practice squad. He will serve as the team's fourth receiver in Week 8.
