Milano (biceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Milano was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window, but he was never expected to play versus Kansas City. Buffalo has a Week 12 bye, so a Week 13 return against San Francisco makes more sense for the Buffalo linebacker.

Milano was officially designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window. He suffered a torn biceps back on Aug. 15 and has yet to play this season. Milano is not expected to be activated in time for Sunday's clash with the Chiefs, but a return to the field appears to be in the near future.

Milano (biceps) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Milano will now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before needing to be moved to the active roster. The Boston College product is expected to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday when he returns to the field and is not expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs.

Bills' Matt Milano: Window to open soon
Head coach Sean McDermott stated Monday that Milano (biceps) will be designated to return from injured reserve this week.
Milano's designation to return will be a major hurdle cleared for his return to action and open up the ability for him to practice with the team. However, McDermott said the Boston College product will not play Sunday against the Chiefs. With the Bills having a Week 12 bye, his next opportunity to make his season debut would be Dec. 1 against the 49ers.

Bills' Matt Milano: Progress in recovery being made
Head coach Sean McDermott stated Wednesday that there is hope Milano (biceps) will return this year, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Milano suffered a torn biceps during training camp, but he's moving in the right direction, according to McDermott. The initial hope was the Boston College product would be able to return sometime in December, but it's not clear if that timeline has shifted. With December still a few weeks away, it's likely a more definitive date for Milano's return won't come anytime soon.
