  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Takes back seat to Taysom

Kamara carried the ball 16 times for 67 yards and caught all four of his targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 35-14 win over the Browns. The Saints' ground game dominated, but it wasn't Kamara leading the way, as Taysom Hill erupted for 138 rushing yards and three TDs. It's the first time since Week 7 that Kamara hasn't reached 100 scrimmage yards, but his TD drought stands at five games. He'll get a chance to recharge his batteries during a Week 12 bye.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Top DFS Play

Kamara had a down week last week and still scored 15.9 PPR Fantasy points. That's exactly the type of floor you want in your cash game anchors. He has seven straight games with at least six targets and is functioning as the number one option in both the run game and the pass game for the Saints.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Tops 100 scrimmage yards in win

Kamara carried the ball 17 times for 55 yards and caught five of six targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons. While he had trouble breaking a big gain on the ground, Kamara led the Saints in receptions and targets on the day and reached 100 scrimmage yards for the third straight contest and the seventh time this season in 10 games. Over that three-game stretch, Kamara has churned out 277 rushing yards and 169 receiving yards, but he hasn't gotten into the end zone since Week 6. He'll look to end that scoring drought in Week 11 against the Browns.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Top DFS Play

Kamara had 35 touches last week. I wouldn't expect that, but with Chris Olave likely out, I would expect Kamara to lead the Falcons in rush attempts and targets. He's my number one projected back of the week and the top option in cash games.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Another limited showing

Kamara (hand/rib) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Kamara continues to be plagued by the fractured ribs he suffered Week 3 and a broken hand that he picked up Week 5. Still, he's remained the most reliable skill-position player for the Saints along the way, averaging 20.1 touches for 101.5 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring seven total TDs in eight contests. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Kamara goes into the weekend without a designation for a fifth week in a row.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited Wednesday

Kamara (hand/rib) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Kamara has been tending to fractured ribs since Week 3 and a broken right hand Week 5, which have regularly resulted in a cap on his practice reps in the meantime. In six games during that span, he's racked up 522 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns on 119 touches, but he's averaged only 3.6 yards per carry and 6.5 yards per catch. Kamara has a pair of sessions remaining this week to get back to full participation or else potentially risking entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's visit to the Panthers.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Cleared for Week 8

Kamara (hand/rib) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Kamara was a limited participant in each of the Saints' three practices this week while he managed a pair of injuries, but neither the broken right hand suffered back in Week 5 nor the broken ribs he suffered Week 3 will keep him from playing in Los Angeles. For the third straight week, Kamara will be joined in the backfield by quarterback Spencer Rattler rather than Derek Carr (oblique), who is listed as doubtful and is unlikely to play. In Rattler's first two starts under center, Kamara's efficiency has taken a big hit, with the running back carrying 20 times for 50 yards (2.5 average) and a touchdown to go with 11 catches for 38 yards (3.5 average) on 15 targets between losses to the Buccaneers and Broncos. In addition to the shaky quarterback play, Kamara's red-zone opportunities could take a hit with Taysom Hill (rib) set to return from a three-game absence to present the Saints with another option in short-yardage situations.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited again Thursday

Kamara (hand/rib) was limited at Thursday's practice, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Kamara continues to be plagued by a broken hand and rib fractures, which has resulted in back-to-back capped sessions to begin Week 8 prep. He'll thus have Friday's practice to get back to full participation or otherwise risk heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest at the Chargers. Assuming he's able to suit up, per usual, Kamara should be good for his usual 20.7 touches per game on the season.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited Wednesday

Kamara was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to hand and rib injuries, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Earlier Wednesday, Kamara told Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune that he's been playing through a broken hand the last two games, and he's still dealing with the broken ribs that he suffered Week 3 against the Eagles. In four outings since then, he's racked up 74 touches for 273 yards from scrimmage and two rushing scores, showing that he's capable of producing even at less than 100 percent health. Kamara will have two more chances to get back to full participation this week or else possibly risk heading into Sunday's contest at the Chargers with a designation.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Playing through broken hand

Kamara said Wednesday that he played the past two games with a broken hand, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Kamara still played three-fourths or more of the offensive snaps in non-blowout situations the past few weeks, with the only indication of a problem being his limited participation in practices. He signed a two-year extension with the Saints on Tuesday and thus seems unlikely to be traded, even though he's a 29-year-old running back on a team that has lost five straight games.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Extending stay in Big Easy

Kamara and the Saints agreed on two-year, $24.5 million extension Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Days after Kamara took to X and shut down rumors he requested a trade, he doubled down on those sentiments via an extension. The dynamic back is now under contract with the Saints through 2026. The 2017 third-round pick recorded a career-low 694 rushing yards in 2023, but he has bounced back nicely through seven games this year. Kamara has already tallied 438 yards and six touchdowns on the ground as well as 34 receptions on 43 targets for 252 yards and one touchdown.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Good to go for Week 7

Kamara (hand) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game versus the Broncos, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports. Kamara was listed as limited on all three of the Saints' Week 7 practice reports due to a hand injury, but it won't stop him from suiting up for a seventh game in a row to start the season. He's averaging 22 touches for 111 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring seven total touchdowns in six contests on the campaign. His workload shouldn't be affected by the potential season debut of second-year back Kendre Miller this week.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited on Monday's estimate

Kamara (hand) was a limited participant on Monday's estimated injury report. The Saints didn't practice Monday, but Kamara would have been limited had the team held drills. The workhorse running back has gotten at least 17 touches in every game this season, so Kamara naturally is a little banged-up, but his status for Thursday's game against the Broncos doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Records 64 total yards in loss

Kamara rushed 13 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and brought in five of eight targets for 24 yards in the Saints' 51-27 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by New Orleans. Kamara saw reduced rushing volume in a game that progressively got away from New Orleans during the second half, but he still co-led the Saints in receptions during rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler's first NFL start. Kamara also tallied his sixth rushing touchdown of the season on a four-yard run late in the second quarter, rounding out his fantasy day nicely. Kamara could face a more favorable game script during Thursday night's Week 7 home matchup against the Broncos.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Cleared to face Tampa

Kamara (hip/hand) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The Saints listed Kamara as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, after he took on a season-high 90 percent snap share in a 26-13 loss to the Chiefs on Monday. He was then a limited practice participant both Thursday and Friday, apparently showing enough to avoid an injury designation for the first start of rookie QB Spencer Rattler's career. The Saints may lean on Kamara even more than usual, especially because Taysom Hill (rib) also is out this week, but the combination of Derek Carr's oblique injury and continued health struggles for the interior offensive line mean it's not the best setup for per-touch efficiency or frequent red-zone visits. The opponent, at least, appears favorable for fantasy production, although Tampa's injury-riddled defense appears somewhat healthier compared to the past few games.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Officially limited Thursday

Kamara (hip/hand) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Kamara was absent from Wednesday's walkthrough due to hip and hand injuries, but his return one day later to a capped session bodes well for his status ahead of Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers. In the end, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back at practice Thursday

Kamara (hip/hand) was present at Thursday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Kamara missed the first session of Week 4 prep, something that was replicated to begin this week, but it appears as if Wednesday's absence was more maintenance-related than anything as he tends to hip and hand injuries. Thursday's practice report will reveal how much work he was able to handle.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited in practice again

Kamara (hip/ribs) was a limited practice participant Friday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Kamara was listed with the same pair of injuries last week and ended up taking 26 touches for 119 yards and a touchdown on 81 percent snap share in a loss to the Falcons. The concern for Monday's game in Kansas City isn't Kamara's health but the health of his blockers, as the Saints already have starting center Erik McCoy (groin) on injured reserve and now have three additional interior linemen missing practice due to injuries. It won't be hard for the Chiefs to get superstar DT Chris Jones in favorable matchups, which is bad news for Kamara's rushing outlook but could help his receiving volume.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Begins week as limited

Kamara (hip/ribs) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday. Kamara managed a pair of limited practices last week due to the same health concerns and still was able to suit up this past Sunday in Atlanta, handling a typical 82 percent snap share and turning 26 touches into 119 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD. His scaled-back workload Thursday likely is maintenance-related, but his status still should be monitored to ensure he's good to go for Monday's matchup with the Chiefs.

  • Saints' Alvin Kamara: Active in Week 4

Kamara (hip/ribs) is listed as active Sunday at Atlanta. After sitting out Wednesday's practice due to hip and rib injuries, Kamara closed Week 4 prep with consecutive limited sessions, which left him questionable heading into the weekend. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported early Sunday morning ET that Kamara intended to suit up, and that has come to pass. In three contests on the campaign, Kamara has been a workhorse out of the Saints backfield, averaging 23.7 touches for 139 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring five total TDs.
