Jeremiah George: Reaches injury settlement
George (back) was released by the Colts after coming to terms on an injury settlement Monday.
George served a reserve role in Indianapolis last season, but he was unable to stick with the team after suffering a back injury in the preseason. The fifth-year pro is now free to suit up this season, provided he can get healthy and find a depth role elsewhere in the league.

Colts' Jeremiah George: Lands on IR
The Colts placed George (back) on injured reserve Saturday, Andrew Walker of the team's official site reports.
George worked in a reserve role in 2017, making 23 tackles and 0.5 sacks through 16 games. He was slated for the same spot this season before his injury. The fifth-year pro will be sidelined for the entire campaign unless he reaches an injury settlement.

Colts' Jeremiah George: Nursing back issue
George is dealing with an apparent back injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
The news comes at a particularly unfortunate time for George, who finds himself deadlocked in a position battle at the moment. While the extent of the injury is not yet known, any missed time won't bode well for George's chances of earning a roster spot as a reserve linebacker.

Colts' Jeremiah George: Reserve role in 2017

George mostly served in a reserve role for the Colts this season, but did earn a start in Week 2. The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his two-year contract with Indianapolis and is likely to serve a similar role in 2018, assuming he remains with the team.

Colts' Jeremiah George: Gets in full practice Tuesday
George (neck) was a full participant in practice Tuesday.
With the Colts playing Thursday night in their Week 15 loss to the Broncos, George wasn't able to rally from the neck injury on a short week. The additional few days off appears to be all George needed to heal up, setting him up for a return Saturday against the Ravens. Though he's seen most of his action on special teams in recent weeks, George could pick up more snaps at inside linebacker Saturday following starter Jon Bostic's (knee) recent placement on injured reserve.
