Deontae Skinner: Waived by Titans
Skinner was waived by the Titans on Tuesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Skinner spent his previous two seasons bouncing between the Giants' 53-man roster and its practice squad. After getting let go in February, he was unable to land with another team until the Titans gave him a shot last week. However, his time with the team will be short-lived, as they have opted go in a different direction. The 27-year-old will now be forced to look for a new opportunity.

Titans' Deontae Skinner: Secures pact in Tennessee
Skinner signed a contract with the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Skinner has played in 14 games since he entered the league four years ago, notching 24 tackles (14 solo) and one sack. He'll look to make the Titans' roster via special teams.

The Giants waived Skinner (hamstring) on Thursday.
Skinner finished the past season on injured reserve after suffering a setback with his hamstring in late November. He was set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Giants will forfeit their rights to retain the linebacker and instead elect him to sign elsewhere in advance of Organized Team Activities.

Skinner exited last Thursday's loss to the Redskins, and while the specifics of the injury remain undisclosed, his 2017 season is over. Akeem Ayers should serve as the primary reserve weak-side linebacker, but the Giants may need to do some additional shuffling, given that they have placed six linebackers on IR this season.

The Giants signed Skinner to a contract Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
Skinner had landed with the Raiders' practice squad after the Giants waived him earlier this season. With three linebackers on the Giants' active roster nursing injuries and Nigel Harris (ribs) moving to injured reserve, Skinner will be brought back to address depth at the position. Unless all of Jonathan Casillas (neck), Keenan Robinson (quadriceps) and B.J. Goodson (ankle) are ruled out for the Week 10 game against the 49ers, don't expect Skinner to see significant snaps on defense.
