  • 49ers' Isaac Yiadom: Might play third corner role

Yiadom is seen as a strong third corner option by the 49ers, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The seventh-year pro signed with San Francisco in March after playing the last two seasons with New Orleans. In 2023, Yiadom played in all 17 games and recorded 37 tackles and a career-high 14 passes defensed.

  • 49ers' Isaac Yiadom: Agrees to terms with San Francisco

The 49ers signed Yiadom on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. The veteran cornerback has found a new home in San Francisco after spending the last two years of his career in New Orleans. Yiadom is coming off one of the most productive seasons of his career, tallying 37 total tackles and 14 passes defended, including one interception, while appearing in all 17 of the Saints' games. Expect Yiadom to compete for starting role in the 49ers' secondary this offseason.

  • Saints' Isaac Yiadom: Sustains injury Week 18

Yiadom was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Falcons with a concussion, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Yiadom largely played on special teams during the first half of the season, but he's seen more action on defense over the past six games, playing at least 71 percent of defensive snaps in each contest. This allowed the 2018 third-round pick to tally a career-high 14 passes defended to go along with 36 tackles. With top cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) still on IR, the Saints will be left with three healthy cornerbacks between Paulson Adebo, Alontae Taylor and Shemar Jean-Charles.

Yiadom (thigh) is out for Sunday's matchup against the Bears. While it is unclear when he sustained the injury, Yiadom did not practice in any fashion Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The 26-year-old cornerback was able to play 50 special-teams snaps through the first two matchups of the 2022 campaign. Steven Nelson, the No. 1 left cornerback for the team, will continue to be counted on heavily.

  • Packers' Isaac Yiadom: Likely to see more work

Yiadom is likely to start in place of Kevin King (shoulder) in Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Jason Wilde of ESPN.com reports. Yiadom has seen around 20 defensive snaps per game to this point in the campaign as a rotational corner. However, with King sidelined, Yiadom should be in line for his biggest role of the campaign. Rasul Douglas is also a candidate to see more snaps.

  • Giants' Isaac Yiadom: Sent to New York

Yiadom was traded to the Giants via the Broncos on Wednesday in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round pick, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports. The Giants saw both Sam Beal and Shakial Taylor opt out of the 2020 season this offseason, so they chose to boost their cornerback room with Yiadom. The 24-year-old was decent in a mostly starting role for the Broncos in 2020, logging 43 total tackles and four passes defensed across 16 games. He'll likely battle for playing time in a depth fashion to begin the season, with James Bradberry and Corey Ballentine expected to handle starting duties.

  • Broncos' Isaac Yiadom: Posts eight tackles

Yiadom made eight solo tackles in Monday's 24-16 loss to the Raiders. Yiadom's impressive tackle count is partly attributed to his struggles in coverage, as he struggled to lock down Raiders TE Darren Waller. He'll likely continue to be counted on in coverage until Bryce Callahan (foot) returns, which will likely lead to a battle for snaps between Yiadom, De'Vante Bausby and Davontae Harris.

  • Broncos' Isaac Yiadom: Limited to start OTAs

Yiadom (shoulder) is expected to be limited for the first week of OTAs, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports. Yiadom played through a separated right shoulder over the final few weeks of the season and underwent surgery in the offseason, then participated in individual drills during voluntary workouts in April. The 2018 third-round pick played well as a rookie despite the injury, with 20 tackles (17 solo), three passes defensed and one interception in 13 games.

  • Broncos' Isaac Yiadom: Undergoes shoulder surgery

Yiadom has undergone surgery to repair a separated shoulder he suffered in the regular season, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Yiadom injured his shoulder late last season, but the issue wasn't thought to be serious after he played the final two games of the campaign. The surgery could jeopardize his ability to participate in OTAs, but is not expected to sideline him once training camp rolls around.

He's moved into a starting role with Chris Harris (lower leg) on injured reserve.
