Texans' Braxton Berrios: Going to Houston on one-year deal
The Texans are slated to ink Berrios (knee) to a one-year, $2 million contract, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Berrios, who is recovering from a left ACL tear sustained Week 7 of the 2024 season, reached agreement on a contract with Houston just days after the team's move to trade for former Jaguars wideout Christian Kirk (collarbone). Berrios suited up for 16 regular-season games with the Dolphins back in 2023, securing 27 of 33 targets for 238 yards and one score. He's capable of contributing both as a depth wideout and on special teams, including in the return game.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Recovering from ACL tear
The left knee injury that Berrios suffered in the Dolphins' Week 7 loss to the Colts was a torn ACL, Nick Pugliese of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Per Brandon Liguori of the Miami Herald, Berrios waited until Oct. 30 to undergo surgery, presumably so the inflammation in his knee could subside. He suffered the knee injury during a kick return in the Oct. 20 game and was placed on injured reserve a day later, ending his season with no receptions on four targets to go with 179 combined return yards over six appearances. Berrios will become a free agent this offseason and will likely be out through the entirety of the spring, but he could catch on with a team ahead of training camp if his rehab process has gone smoothly.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Lands on IR
The Dolphins placed Berrios (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Berrios sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Colts, and being placed on IR on Monday suggests the issue is significant. The 29-year-old now will be forced to miss the Dolphins' next four games, with his earliest possible return coming Week 12 against the Patriots. After Berrios' placement on IR, the Dolphins have just four wide receivers on their active roster: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham and rookie Malik Washington. Expect De'Von Achane and Washington to serve as Miami's top kick and punt returners, respectively, until Berrios can return.

Miami's punt and kick returner will get an MRI on his knee Monday, per Moser. Berrios suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to the Colts. De'Von Achane and Malik Washington might be next in line to handle return duties for the Dolphins.
