  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Back in Big Apple

The Giants signed Jackson to a contract Friday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Per Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, it's reported to be a one-year deal. Jackson spent the previous three campaigns with the Giants, compiling 176 tackles, 23 pass defenses (two interceptions), two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive TD in 37 regular-season games. Because fellow cornerback Cor'Dale Flott is considered week-to-week due to a quadriceps injury, there's a chance Jackson may have a heavy workload and may even start Week 1 against the Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 8.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Struggles in seventh NFL season

Jackson registered 63 tackles (49 solo) and eight pass defenses, including an interception that he returned for a touchdown, over 14 games during the 2023 season.

Though Jackson's tackle total was his highest since 2018, the veteran cornerback finished in the bottom third of the league at his position with a 43.9 PFF coverage grade. He did manage to score his first career touchdown on a pick-six Week 16 against the Eagles, but that personal highlight hardly made up for his deficiencies in coverage. Jackson has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career -- his 14 contests this season actually marked his highest total since 2018 -- and New York has a pair of promising young cornerbacks in Deonte Banks and Cor'Dale Flott. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising to see Jackson, whose contract includes a 2024 void year, to be with another organization next season.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Decent showing in loss

Jackson recorded seven tackles (five solo) and a forced fumble in Sunday's 26-25 loss versus the Rams.

Jackson's tackle total was his second highest of the season, but his performance in Week 17 was marred by an 80-yard catch and run he ceded to Puka Nacua in the middle of the third quarter. The Giants will play host to A.J. Brown and the Eagles in Week 18.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Practices in full

Jackson (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

The 28-year-old cornerback was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury that he likely picked up Christmas Day, but it seems as if he's already been able to move past the issue. Jackson has served as the Giants' top cornerback this year, and in his 12 appearances, he's tallied 49 total tackles, seven pass deflections and one pick-six.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Nursing ankle injury

Jackson (ankle) was a limited participant at the Giants' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Jackson led the Giants' corners in snaps during Monday's loss at Philadelphia, and it's not clear when he picked up the ankle issue. Either way, he'll likely need to upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Notches pick-six in Week 16 loss

Jackson registered four tackles (all solo) and returned an interception for a touchdown in Monday's loss to Philadelphia.

With the Eagles up 10 points and in field-goal range late in the third quarter, Jackson temporarily shifted the momentum with an interception of Jalen Hurts that he took 76 yards for a score. It was the first touchdown and just the fourth interception of Jackson's seven-year career, though it wasn't enough for New York to pull off a victory. The veteran cornerback has missed three games due to injury this season, but if he can remain healthy for the Giants' final two contests, he'll finish with his most games played since 2018.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Will play Sunday

Jackson (concussion) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Jackson was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice but logged a full session Thursday and Friday and is set to return Sunday. He missed the last two games after sustaining a concussion in Week 9 against the Raiders. Jackson will go back to his starting role at cornerback alongside Deonte Banks.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Ramps up activity

Jackson (concussion) was a full participant during practice Thursday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

It's not clear if Jackson has cleared the league's five-step concussion protocols, but his ability to log a full practice is a step in the right direction. His status for Friday's practice session should shed better light on his potential availability for Sunday against the Patriots.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Ruled out for Week 11

Jackson (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson will miss a second straight game due to a concussion sustained Week 9 against the Raiders. Until Jackson is able to retake the field, Tre Hawkins, Cor'Dale Flott (shoulder) and Nick McCloud will all be candidates to see increased work at cornerback across from Deonte Banks (ankle), who is also dealing with an injury of his own.
