Colts' Genard Avery: Past foot injury
Avery (foot) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Avery missed the Indianapolis' Week 8 loss to the Texans due to a foot injury, however, Wednesday's full practice suggests that he's now moved past the issue. The Memphis product has only suited up for one game this season and is expected to continue serving as a depth piece on the Colts' defensive line as the season progresses.

Avery has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans with a foot injury.
Avery didn't practice at all this week due to the injury. He's played in only one game so far this season, logging two defensive snaps Week 5 against the Jaguars, so Avery's absence Sunday isn't likely to have much of an impact on the Colts' defensive game plan.

Colts' Genard Avery: Gets spot on main roster
Avery was signed to the 53-man roster from the Colts' practice squad Tuesday.
Avery's move to the active roster comes as Indianapolis placed DeForest Buckner (ankle) on IR. The 29-year-old last suited up for the Buccaneers in 2022, where he appeared in nine contests, making five total tackles, including 1.0 sacks.

After missing the final four games of the 2022 NFL season with an abdomen injury, Avery must be healthy or close to it once again due to his signing. Throughout his five-year career, the veteran defensive end has tallied 106 tackles and 8.5 sacks while also being an experienced special teamer.

Avery suffered an injury to his abdomen in Week 14 and has been sidelined since. He'll now miss the rest of the regular season, but he could return in the postseason should the Buccaneers advance to the divisional round.
