  • Broncos' Kenny Young: Clears concussion protocol

Young didn't appear Tuesday on the Broncos' estimated practice report and appears to have cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Young was sidelined for a third straight game in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Chargers due to the head injury, but his absence from the team's first Week 18 report seemingly implies that he would have been listed as a full participant if included. Unless Young suffers a setback in practice over the next two days, he should be ready to play in Saturday's season finale against the Chiefs. Young has compiled 75 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles across 13 games between the Rams and Broncos this season.

  • Broncos' Kenny Young: Traded to Denver

The Rams traded Young and a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Broncos on Monday in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The Broncos recently placed Micah Kiser (groin) on injured reserve, which brings their total number of linebackers on IR to seven. The trade to acquire Young is Denver's second move to add linebacker help in the past few days, as they traded for outside linebacker Stephen Weatherly on Saturday. Young will likely step into the starting middle linebacker role with Justin Strnad during Kiser's absence.

  • Rams' Kenny Young: Rings up 10 stops

Young produced 10 tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 34-14 win over the Bears. Young played all 69 defensive snaps in the season opener after winning the starting job during training camp. Young is a tackling machine, and with an every-snap role in hand, the fourth-year linebacker has massive IDP upside.

  • Rams' Kenny Young: Bounces back in 2020

Young managed 52 tackles (31 solo), one sack, two pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery across 16 games in 2020. Young, who only had 17 tackles in his last two seasons, bounced back to rookie-year form in 2020. His rotational role doesn't lend itself to much real fantasy upside in IDP formats, but his resurgence as a consistent contributor should give the Rams some confidence in his upside as a developmental option. He'll play out the final year of his rookie contract with Los Angeles in 2021.

  • Ravens' Kenny Young: Gets shot at starting job

Young is poised to compete for a starting job, Joe Schiller of the Ravens' official website reports. The 2018 fourth-round pick spent his rookie season splitting time with Patrick Onwausor at inside linebacker next to C.J. Mosley, who recently signed a five-year, $85 million contract with the Jets. There's now room for both Onwausor and Young to handle three-down roles, though it will depend on Baltimore's other moves this offseason. Young flashed impressive IDP potential in 2018, with 51 tackles (40 solo), 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery across 369 snaps on defense and 178 on special teams.
