Long (knee) is good to go for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Long drew a questionable designation following a week of limited workloads at practice. Barring any setbacks, he should take on his usual role alongside Jordyn Brooks at inside linebacker.

Dolphins' David Long: Questionable for Week 7
Long (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts.
Long appears to be dealing with a knee injury following the Dolphins' bye week, but he still practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week and has a chance to suit up Sunday. If the 28-year-old is unable to play through injury in Week 7, expect Anthony Walker to start alongside Jordyn Brooks in Miami's inside-linebacker corps.

Dolphins' David Long: Good to go for Week 5
Long (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Patriots and is expected to play, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
After missing last Monday night's game against Tennessee, Long was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday before logging a full session Friday. Anthony Walker will likely head back to the bench on defense with Long back in the lineup. Through three games, Long has 21 tackles (18 solo), including two TFLs.

Long (hamstring) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Titans.

Dolphins' David Long: Unlikely to play vs. Titans
Long (hamstring) did not participate in practice Saturday and is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Titans, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Long was unable to practice all week due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 3 against the Seahawks. He's unlikely to suit up Monday against the Titans -- the team that selected him in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft -- and his next chance at playing will be Week 5 against the Patriots on Oct. 6. In Long's predicted absence, Anthony Walker would be the next man up at inside linebacker alongside starter Jordyn Brooks.

Long was injured in last Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. Anthony Walker would likely make the start next to Jordyn Brooks on Monday night if Long is unable to play versus Tennessee.

Dolphins' David Long: Still tending to injury
Long (hamstring) is not practicing Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Long left Sunday's loss to the Seahawks early with the injury and clearly has yet to fully recover. Furones notes that according to head coach Mike McDaniel, Long is "doing absolutely everything he can for this opportunity" in reference to having a chance to play against his former Titans squad in a Week 4 Monday night matchup.

Dolphins' David Long: Leads Fins in tackles Thursday
Long recorded 11 tackles (nine solo) during Thursday's 31-10 loss versus the Bills.
The Bills were able to run the ball frequently in a lopsided win, creating a healthy number of opportunities for tackles for Long. He continued to play essentially an every-down role in Week 2, and as long as he retains that role, he figures to carry some IDP value in most formats.

Dolphins' David Long: OK after injury
Long, who briefly left Sunday's 20-17 win over the Jaguars due to a hand injury, stated Monday that he is fine, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Long finished the day with eight tackles (seven solo) despite missing a few snaps with the injury. The veteran linebacker admitted his hand is "a little sore," but considering he was able to return to the game, it doesn't appear there will be any lingering effects with the injury. Long should be available for Thursday's divisional showdown with the Bills.

Dolphins' David Long: First career 100-tackle season
Long racked up 113 tackles (64 solo), including one sack, one pass breakup and one forced fumble across 17 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2023.
Long surpassed the 100-tackle mark for the first time in his five-year NFL career while also tallying his first first-ever sack as a pro during a Week 2 win over New England. The 2024 campaign will mark the final season of his two-year contract with Miami, but his cap hit will grow to a sizeable $6.7 million, and the team has a potential 'out' with only $2.2 million in dead money this offseason. Of course, given Long's career-best 2023 performance, both sides should have mutual agreement on remaining united.
