Nate Davis: Works out with Tennessee
The Titans hosted Davis (back) for a workout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Davis appears to recovered from the back injury he'd been dealing with when cut by the Bears in November. The veteran guard was initially drafted by Tennessee in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he could now reunite with the team, potentially as a member of the practice squad.

Nate Davis: Cut by Chicago
The Bears waived Davis on Wednesday.
Davis' disastrous tenure in Chicago will come to an end halfway through the three-year, $30 million contract he signed in March 2023. The veteran guard lost his starting job to Matt Pryor earlier this season and was a late addition to the Bears' injury report in Week 11, when he was inactive due to a back issue ahead of an eventual 19-3 loss to the Patriots. Once healthy, the 28-year-old Davis could catch on with another organization at a more team-friendly salary.

Bears' Nate Davis: Late scratch for Week 10
Davis has been ruled out for Sunday's game against New England with a back injury.
He wasn't on the Bears' Week 10 injury report, so the back issue may have cropped up following Friday's practice. Davis started at right guard in the Bears' first two games of the season, but Matt Pryor has since supplanted Davis in the lineup.

Bears' Nate Davis: Healthy inactive Sunday
Davis (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
In the second season of the three-year, $30 million deal he signed with the Bears in March 2023, Davis lost his starting role at right guard to Matt Pryor earlier this season and no longer looks to be viewed as the first guard off the bench. Instead, Bill Murray will be the Bears' choice to step in at left guard or right guard if either Teven Jenkins or Pryor is forced to exit Sunday's contest at any point.

Bears' Nate Davis: Active but may not start
Davis (groin) is active for Sunday's game against Indianapolis.
Davis aggravated his groin injury during Wednesday's practice, which limited him in Thursday's session and caused him to be a DNP on Friday. He'll be active for Sunday's game, though he could operate in a depth role and cede the starting right guard spot to Matt Pryor, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic.

Bears' Nate Davis: Questionable with groin issue
Davis (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Davis aggravated a lingering groin injury at practice during the week, and now his status for Sunday's contest is up in the air. If he can't play in Week 3, Matt Pryor would project to start in his place.

Bears' Nate Davis: Returns to practice
Davis (undisclosed) practiced with the starters in Tuesday's session, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Davis was considered week-to-week with what was described as a soft-tissue issue, but the veteran guard appears to have recovered from the injury. The 2019 third-round pick is projected to serve as the Bears' starting right guard for the upcoming season.

Bears' Nate Davis: Week-to-week with injury
Head coach Matt Eberflus said after Thursday's practice that Davis (undisclosed) is dealing with a soft-tissue injury and is considered week-to-week, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
No further details have been provided, but Davis will miss the Bears' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, and the 27-year-old guard could also be held out against the Bengals on Aug. 17. Matt Pryor and Ja'Tyre Carter are candidates to serve as the starting right guard for Saturday's contest in Davis' absence.

Bears' Nate Davis: Returns to practice Sunday
Davis (undisclosed) is practicing Sunday, Sean Hammong of Shaw Local reports.
Davis suffered an injury during practice July 27 and ended up sitting out for a week. However, he's back on the practice field Sunday, so the issue doesn't appear to be serious. Davis may be worked back into practice cautiously given the amount of time he was sidelined.

Bears' Nate Davis: Exits practice with injury
Davis (undisclosed) departed from Saturday's practice early due to an injury, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Matt Eberflus characterized the injury as a "strain" but didn't indicate which area of Davis' body was hurt. Injuries were an issue for the offensive lineman last season, as he played in only 11 games due to separate ankle and foot issues. The severity of his current issue isn't yet certain, but if he's able to recover relatively quickly, Davis is expected to open the regular season as Chicago's starting right guard.
