Travis was one of eight players on the Browns to test positive for COVID-19, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Travis was just signed to the Browns' practice squad on Dec. 7 after previously appearing in three games for the Cardinals this season. The Browns signed Travis to their practice squad Tuesday.
Travis has appeared in 28 career NFL games since joining the league in 2016. With David Njoku and Stephen Carlson both on the COVID-19 list and Harrison Bryant (ankle) doubtful for Week 14, the Browns are adding as much insurance to the tight end spot as they can. In a corresponding move, Cleveland signed Miller Forristall to its active roster from its practice squad.
