The wideout reverted back to the Lions' injured reserve after being waived by the team last week with an undisclosed injury. He is now free to sign with any team upon his release from the Lions' IR.

Lions' Dez Stewart: Signs pact Tuesday
Stewart signed a contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Stewart has never been on an active NFL roster, but he'll try his hand in Detroit. He's likely behind the competition at wide receiver, so his best bet to make the 53-man roster would be in a special teams position.

Stewart (undisclosed) was released from the Steelers' injured reserve list after reaching an injury settlement with the team.
Stewart signed a reserve/future contract back in January but was waived/injured during the first week of May. After clearing waivers, he reverted to the Steelers' injured reserve but is now set to hit the free-agent market after reaching an injury settlement.
