JJ Molson: Waived by Green Bay
The Packers waived Molson on Friday.
Molson spent the entire 2021 season on the Packers' practice squad as an emergency option behind Mason Crosby and signed a reserve/future deal this offseason. However, the UCLA product has been let go in favor of Dominik Eberle, who Green Bay signed at the end of February. Crosby is expected to resume his usual role in 2022 for the time being, but after a poor campaign last year, he isn't guaranteed to stick around.

Packers' JJ Molson: Signs new contract with Packers
The Packers signed Molson to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
The kicker spent the 2021 season operating as an emergency option behind Mason Crosby and he will now be back with the Packers for the 2022 campaign. Molson has yet to make his NFL debut after finishing his collegiate career at UCLA in 2019.

JJ Molson: Back from COVID list
Molson was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
The kicker was placed on the COVID list Dec. 31, missing the Packers' Week 17 win over the Vikings. Although he has been restored, it's unlikely that Molson will have any impact in Week 18 and beyond while operating as a reserve option behind starter Mason Crosby.

Molson joined the Packers' practice squad in December after being cut by the Chargers, and he'll stick with Green Bay to begin the offseason. He's the only kicker on the roster besides veteran Mason Crosby.
