49ers' Osa Odighizuwa: Shipped to San Francisco in trade
The 49ers acquired Odighizuwa (elbow) from the Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
According to Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Odighizuwa had offseason surgery on his elbow, termed a clean-up procedure, that is not expected to affect his availability for the offseason program. A third-round pick in the 2021 Draft, Odighizuwa signed a new four-year, $80 million deal with Dallas last offseason. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games, making 13 starts, and has missed just one contest throughout his five-year career. During the 2025 campaign, Odighizuwa posted 44 tackles (16 solo), including 3.5 sacks, and he gives the Niners a needed boost to their defensive line.

Cowboys' Osa Odighizuwa: Plays in every game again in 2025
Odighizuwa tallied 44 tackles, including 3.5 sacks, over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
Odighizuwa continues to be a durable force for Dallas -- he's played in all 17 regular-season contests every year since 2022. The veteran defensive tackle has also been very consistent stats-wise, producing between 43 and 47 stops, including between 3.0 and 4.5 sacks, every season during that four-year span. Odighizuwa signed a four-year contract last March and should continue to be a key part of Dallas' defensive line next season.

Cowboys' Osa Odighizuwa: Limited Tuesday
Odighizuwa (elbow) was limited in Tuesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Odighizuwa was DNP at Monday's walkthrough, so the limited session gives him a good chance to play Thursday against the Chiefs. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has enjoyed a productive 2025 season, registering 30 tackles (13 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and a whopping 16 QB hits on 459 defensive snaps across 11 appearances.

Cowboys' Osa Odighizuwa: Dealing with elbow injury
Odighizuwa (elbow) did not participate in Monday's walkthrough practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Odighizuwa likely suffered the injury during Dallas' 24-21 overtime win over Philadelphia on Sunday, when he recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks and four total quarterback hits. He'll have two more chances to return to practice ahead of Thursday's game against the Chiefs, but if he's unable to play, then Kenny Clark and Solomon Thomas would be slated for more snaps at defensive tackle alongside Quinnen Williams.

Cowboys' Osa Odighizuwa: Sack in second straight game
Odighizuwa recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and four QB hits in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Eagles.
The addition of Quinnen Williams at the trade deadline has injected some life into the entire Dallas defense, and Odighizuwa has been one of the biggest beneficiaries. The fifth-year defensive tackle has a sack in each of Williams' first two games as a Cowboy after managing just one through the first nine games this season. Williams, Odighizuwa and Kenny Clark have seen roughly equal workloads during those two weeks, sometimes even being on the field together as part of a five-man front, and that consistent pressure up the middle is paying dividends -- the trio has combined for 4.0 sacks in those two contests, both Dallas wins.
