Nate McCrary: Parts ways with Packers
Green Bay cut McCrary (undisclosed) from the practice squad injured list with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McCrary had been placed on the practice squad injured list Aug. 30, which would have made him ineligible from being on the active NFL roster for at least four games. Now that he's agreed to an injury settlement, the 25-year-old can sign with another organization and can suit up whenever he is healthy. However, McCrary will likely need to settle for another practice squad spot given that he has played in only one career NFL game, which took place in 2021.

It's unclear what type of issue McCrary is dealing with, but he now isn't eligible to be moved up to the active NFL roster for the first four games of the regular season. McCrary has logged just one NFL snap, which took place when he was with the Ravens in 2021.

McCrary was cut from the Browns' practice squad Tuesday, Adam Caplan of Fox Sports reports.
The 24-year-old out of Saginaw Valley State was brought in last week to ensure depth at running back if Jerome Ford was unable to suit up Sunday, and the team has since decided to move on. In a corresponding move, the Browns signed running back Kenyan Drake to their practice squad Tuesday.

The Packers waived McCrary on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.
McCrary and Patrick Taylor lost out on the No. 3 running back spot to rookie UDFA Emanuel Wilson. McCrary was picked up by the Packers on Aug. 7 after being let go by the Browns three days prior. He could look to return to Green Bay's practice squad once he clears waivers or look for opportunities elsewhere.

Packers' Nate McCrary: Finds paydirt Saturday
McCrary had seven carries for 24 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks.
McCrary saw work Saturday after not taking the field in Green Bay's second exhibition contest, and he wound up scoring the touchdown that gave the Packers the win. Although McCrary ended the preseason on a high note, he almost certainly finds himself on the outside looking in when final cuts are made.

McCrary opened training camp with the Ravens but he then found his way to Carolina after not making the team's initial 53-man roster. He was then cut by the Panthers Dec. 13 and remained a free agent. He'll work to earn a role in Cleveland next season.

McCrary appears to be healthy after leaving the Ravens' previous preseason outing against the Cardinals with a knee injury. However, the undrafted back ultimately saw action on just one drive Saturday, with his second rushing attempt stopped behind the line of scrimmage for a four-yard loss. McCrary's mere 14 offensive snaps don't spell well for his chances to make Baltimore's 53-man roster heading into final cuts Tuesday.

McCrary had touches on back-to-back plays in the third quarter, securing his lone target for seven yards while rushing once for nine yards prior to leaving the game. McCrary went undrafted out of Saginaw Valley State and signed with the Ravens as a free agent after the 2021 NFL Draft. With the Ravens having no shortage of running back options, it'll take some work for McCrary to see the active roster again, but now that he's back to being active on the practice squad, he'll try to make it happen.
