Titans' Gunnar Helm: Ruled out for season finale
Helm (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
With Helm unavailable, Chig Okonkwo is slated to lead the Titans' Week 18 TE corps, with David Martin-Robinson also in the mix, while Cole Turner is a potential practice-squad elevation. Helm finishes up his rookie season with a 44-357-2 line (on 55 targets) in 16 contests. With Okonkwo in line to become an unrestricted free agent, the 2025 fourth-rounder could be positioned for an expanded role in 2026, pending the Titans' offseason moves at that tight end position.

Titans' Gunnar Helm: Sits out of Thursday's practice
Helm (toe) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Helm has missed the first two practices of the week due to a lingering toe injury and was spotted with a boot on his right foot, per Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com. Helm would be unlikely to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jaguars unless he were to log at least a limited practice Friday. If the rookie fourth-round tight end is ruled out, then David Martin-Robinson would be in line for a larger role on offense alongside Chig Okonkwo.

Titans' Gunnar Helm: No practice Wednesday
Helm (toe) did not practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Helm has played through a toe injury since mid-December and hasn't yet been forced to miss any time, though he's generally managed to practice in at least a limited capacity during that stretch. The rookie tight end secured just one of two targets for one receiving yard during Tennessee's loss to the Saints in Week 17. He'll have two more chances to get back on the practice field ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale on the road against Jacksonville.

Titans' Gunnar Helm: One catch in Week 17 loss
Helm recorded one catch for seven yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
For the second straight week, Helm was out-produced by Chig Okonkwo, who paced the Titans with 55 yards and one touchdown on three catches across a team-high seven targets against New Orleans. Through 16 games this season, Helm has logged a 44-357-2 receiving line on 55 targets.

Helm managed a toe issue ahead of the Titans' Week 16 win over the Chiefs, when he caught two passes (on three targets) for nine yards while playing 71 percent of the team's offensive snaps. His ability to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday indicates the injury isn't considered serious, and he'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation and avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Saints. Helm has established a nice rapport with rookie quarterback Cam Ward in the six games since the Titans' Week 6 bye, with the duo connecting for 23 catches (on 28 targets) for 169 yards and one touchdown over that span.

Titans' Gunnar Helm: Minimal production against KC
Helm recorded two receptions on three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 26-9 win over Kansas City.
Helm had started to gain momentum as a favorite target of Cam Ward, but that stalled Sunday. He had only three targets, good for fifth on the team, while fellow tight end Chig Okonkwo commanded eight targets and scored a TD. Helm is working through a toe injury that he sustained during the Titans' Week 15 loss to the 49ers, when he caught four passes on as many targets for 49 yards and a touchdown. He was tagged as questionable for Week 16, but his ability to practice in full Friday -- coupled with Fowler's report Saturday -- puts the rookie tight end on track toward being available for Sunday's home tilt. Helm has caught 41 passes (on 50 targets) for 347 yards and two touchdowns through 14 regular-season games.
