Brown secured two of five targets for 30 yards in the Eagles' 38-21 loss to the Cowboys on Monday night.
Brown saw an expanded role due to the absences of DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), and the veteran wideout finished third in receiving yards and targets as a result. Brown's stats were his first of the season, and although there have been some rumblings about him being a potential trade candidate, the Eagles' lack of healthy bodies at the position could give Brown some job security through the deadline.

Eagles' Hollywood Brown: Trade candidate for Philadelphia
NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports that teams seeking help at wide receiver will likely call the Eagles about the status of Brown before the Nov. 10 deadline.
Brown's lone regular-season game this season was in Week 2 against the Titans, when he rushed for 12 yards on two carries and did not record a target. He missed the next three games due to an ankle injury and was a healthy scratch for Week 6 against the Panthers, and the veteran wide receiver doesn't appear to be in the Eagles' offensive gameplan moving forward. The Eagles have a 2-4 record, and with franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts (calf) likely out for the rest of the season, the team could be looking to trade Brown and other players by the Nov. 10 trade deadline.

Brown's one reception came on the first play of the Eagles' second possession. The veteran receiver doesn't have much to prove in the preseason, and he demonstrated he had plenty left in the tank last season with the Chiefs while posting a 49-587-5 line across 16 regular-season games.
