Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Questionable tag for Week 9
Davis (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Davis and Brian Thomas (chest) are both questionable in a Jacksonville receiving corps that will be without Christian Kirk (collarbone) for the rest of the season. Coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Davis, who logged three limited practices, will be a game-time decision prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, per Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL Radio.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Stays limited at practice
Davis (shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday.
With Davis and Brian Thomas (chest) both having logged back-to-back limited sessions, Friday's practice looms large for the duo in terms of their status for Sunday's game against the Eagles. In the wake of losing Christian Kirk for the season with a broken left collarbone, the Jaguars will need to lean heavily on Davis and Thomas going forward, pending their availability.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Limited in practice
Davis (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Davis made an early exit from Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Packers, but head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that the wideout avoided a major injury and "should be fine" for this Sunday's game at Philadelphia. Fellow Jaguars wideout Brian Thomas (chest) is also in the day-to-day category, while Christian Kirk (collarbone) wasn't so lucky and will miss the rest of the season. Davis and Thomas both wore non-contact jerseys during Wednesday's practice, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com. Kirk's absence could push a few more targets toward Davis, although Davis hasn't made much of a case for himself in 2024, failing to live up to a three-year, $39 million contract he signed during the offseason.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Should play in Week 9
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Davis (shoulder) "should be fine" for Sunday's game at Philadelphia, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Davis was one of three Jaguars receivers who failed to finish a Week 8 loss to the Packers, with Christian Kirk (collarbone) and Brian Thomas (chest) also making early exits. Kirk will miss the remainder of the season, but Pederson expressed optimism that Davis and Thomas will both be ready to play in Week 9, though Davis looks to be a safer bet to suit up. With Kirk out, Parker Washington appears poised to absorb most of his snaps out of the slot, but there should still be extra targets for both Davis and Thomas along with tight end Evan Engram. Davis has averaged 4.4 targets through Jacksonville's first eight games, producing an 18-217-2 receiving line.

Davis (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Packers, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Stays limited in practice
Davis (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
The Jaguars haven't indicated that Davis suffered a setback with his knee coming out of this past Sunday's win over the Patriots, but since he's been limited in both of the team's first two Week 8 practices, the receiver may need to upgrade to full activity Friday to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's matchup with the Packers. While suiting up in each of the Jaguars' first seven games, Davis has played at least two-thirds of the snaps in every contest while recording 18 catches for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 35 targets.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Limited to begin Week 8 prep
Davis (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
For the third week in a row, Davis is opening prep with a limited practice due to the knee injury. He showed no ill effects from the injury with a two-touchdown Week 6 performance against the Bears, but he took a step back in the Week 7 win over New England, finishing with just one catch. Both of those contests were in London, but Davis and the Jaguars will be back stateside Sunday for a home game against the Packers.

Jaguars' Gabe Davis: Quiet in Week 7 win
Davis secured one of two targets for 13 yards during the Jaguars' 32-16 win over the Patriots on Sunday in London.
Davis saw his lowest target total of the season, a development that came at least in part due to the fact that Jacksonville commanded a sizeable lead for the majority of Sunday's contest. He figures to be more involved versus Green Bay in Week 8, but with all of Christian Kirk, rookie first-round pick Brian Thomas and tight end Evan Engram healthy, Davis may be fourth or fifth in the pecking order for targets from Trevor Lawrence.
