  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Lands on IR

The Bills placed Davis (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Davis' move to IR was merely a formality after head coach Sean McDermott confirmed Monday that the wide receiver suffered an ACL tear to his left knee in the wild-card round this past weekend. Given the timing of his injury, Davis likely won't be back to 100 percent to begin the 2026 season, which could result in him struggling to find a landing spot in free agency this offseason. The wideout appeared in six games for the Bills during the regular season and produced a 12-129-1 receiving line on 18 targets.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Getting MRI on knee

Davis (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday to diagnose the nature and severity of the injury that forced him out of Sunday's 27-24 wild-card win over the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Bills had difficulty providing an initial diagnosis for Davis' injury Sunday due to the amount of swelling in his left knee. The veteran wide receiver had to be carted off the field in the second half. In the event that Davis is ruled out for Buffalo's upcoming divisional-round matchup against Denver on Saturday, Jan. 17, Tyrell Shavers and Keon Coleman could be positioned for expanded roles on offense.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Torn ACL confirmed

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Davis suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Sunday's 27-24 wild-card win over the Jaguars, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

Davis' injury not only is season-ending, the timing and severity put the 26-year-old wideout's status for the beginning of the 2026 campaign in jeopardy. He secured two of three targets for 14 yards versus Jacksonville before being carted off the field in the second half. Davis is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he may well have to complete a full recovery from his left ACL tear before getting another opportunity to sign with a team around the league.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: On crutches postgame

Davis (knee) was seen exiting the locker room on crutches and with a brace on his left leg after Sunday's 27-24 win over the Jaguars in the wild-card round, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Davis was ruled out after being carted off the field during the second half, as he suffered a left knee injury that appears to be significant. Davis logged 12 catches (on 18 targets) for 129 yards and a touchdown over six regular-season appearances in 2025. His status will be worth monitoring for the Bills' upcoming divisional-round matchup against an opponent to be determined.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Injures knee Sunday

Davis won't return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars after sustaining a knee injury.

Prior to being carted off the field Sunday, Davis caught two of his three targets for 14 yards. His absence leaves Khalil Shakir, Brandin Cooks, Tyrell Shavers and Keon Coleman to handle Buffalo's WR duties versus Jacksonville.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Catches TD pass in Week 18 win

Davis caught five passes (on seven targets) for 41 yards and a touchdown during the Bills' 35-8 win over the Jets on Sunday.

The Bills rested or limited the snap counts of their top skill position players during Sunday's regular-season finale. That gave Davis an expanded role in the offense, and the sixth-year pro led all Bills pass catchers in snaps, targets and receptions, and he capped off his night with a two-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell Trubisky midway through the third quarter. Davis joined the Bills in late November and logged 12 catches (on 18 targets) for 129 yards and one score across six regular-season games. He served more as a run blocker in the Bills' offense, but his chemistry with Josh Allen could lead to Davis taking on more responsibilities during this Sunday's AFC wild-card game against the Jaguars.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Blanks in Week 17

Davis failed to catch his lone target while playing 28 of the Bills' 73 offensive snaps during Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Eagles.

The 26-year-old wideout was inactive in each of the Bills' last two games prior to Sunday's loss. Since signing with Buffalo in early September, Davis has appeared in five games and caught seven of 11 targets for 88 yards. He's expected to remain a depth option in the Bills' receiving corps in the Week 18 matchup against the Jets.

  • Bills' Gabe Davis: Inactive Sunday

Davis is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

With Joshua Palmer back in action, Davis is the odd man out in the Bills' Week 15 WR corps. Also in the mix Sunday are Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Tyrell Shavers and Brandin Cooks.
