Clemons and the Colts have agreed to terms on a three-year deal, Mike Chappell of fox59.com reports.
The deal is reported to be worth $17.5 million, with up to $18.5 million in earnings possible. Clemons produced 22 tackles (nine solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two passes defensed over 16 games in the 2025 regular season. Clemons was held out of practice all week due to an ankle injury and won't suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale. The fourth-year pro will end the 2025 regular season with 22 tackles (nine solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass defenses across 16 games. Clemons tallied 34 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble over 17 games in 2024.
The third-year pro from Texas A&M started all 17 of the Jets' games this season and set a new career high in sacks, solidifying himself as one of New York's best edge rushers. Clemons began to see less defensive work once Haason Reddick returned from his contract dispute in Week 8, but he still logged a career-high 581 defensive snaps played this season. Clemons was a full participant Wednesday, so he may have suffered the injury during practice. A late-week downgrade usually doesn't bode well for a player's chances of suiting up on game day, but considering Clemons was at least able to practice in a limited fashion, it might not be all bad for the 27-year-old. If he is unable to suit up, the Jets may have to lean on Takkarist McKinley and Will McDonald more to help generate a pass rush against the Titans.
