Eagles' Riq Woolen: Heads to another contender
Woolen agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year, $15 million contract with the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Woolen entered the league as a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2022 and started 46 of 48 games through his first three seasons, registering 41 pass breakups and 11 interceptions in that stretch. Although he started just seven games in 2025, Woolen still averaged 51.0 defensive snaps per game and recorded 41 tackles (33 solo), 12 pass breakups and an interception. Woolen is an unmatched athlete who has shown some flaws as a tackler, but he should be a sturdy addition to the Eagles' secondary nonetheless.

Seahawks' Riq Woolen: Good to go for divisional round
Woolen (oblique) does not carry an injury designation into Saturday's NFC divisional-round game against the 49ers, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Woolen was limited in the first two practices of the week due to an oblique issue, but he faded an injury designation for Saturday's game after logging a full practice Thursday. The fourth-year pro ended the 2025 regular season with 41 tackles (33 solo) and 12 pass defenses (one interception) across 16 games.

Seahawks' Riq Woolen: Dealing with oblique issue
Woolen (oblique) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The Seahawks were on a bye for the NFC wild-card round, so Woolen may have picked up the injury against the 49ers in Week 18, when he logged two tackles (one solo) and one pass defense. The fourth-year pro will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation ahead of Saturday's divisional-round clash against San Francisco.

Seahawks' Riq Woolen: Absent from injury report
Woolen (knee) was not listed on Wednesday's practice report, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Woolen injured his knee during the Seahawks' Week 16 overtime win over the Rams. He received an MRI on the knee Friday, but his absence from Wednesday's injury report indicates that he was a full practice participant and on track to play against the Panthers on Sunday. Woolen has accumulated 18 tackles (13 solo) and eight pass defenses (one interception) across the eight games since Seattle's Week 8 bye.

Seahawks' Riq Woolen: Getting MRI on knee
Woolen (knee) and safety Coby Bryant (knee) are getting MRIs on Friday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
The Seahawks won Thursday's matchup against the Rams but lost two starting defensive backs along the way. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald didn't have an update Friday morning apart from saying that Woolen, Bryant and unnamed others are scheduled for MRIs.

Woolen is questionable to return to Thursday's Week 16 matchup against the Rams due to a knee issue.
Woolen is one of three Seattle defensive backs who have exited the contest -- Nick Emmanwori is being evaluated for a concussion, and Coby Bryant has been ruled out due to a knee injury. Josh Jobe, Nehemiah Pritchett and Ty Okada are consequently all in the game, which has gone to overtime.
