The right tackle was activated from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday, the last day of his 21-day practice window. If he hadn't been activated by the end of the window, he would have had to miss the remainder of the season. Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that Lucas making his season debut Sunday against the 49ers was a "realistic expectation," per Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.

Seahawks' Abraham Lucas: Won't return in Week 7

The third-year pro will have now missed the Seahawks' first seven games this season due to a knee issue. Macdonald added that he's hopeful Lucas can return to practice soon, which suggests a return to the field may be on the horizon. Chronic knee issues limited Lucas to just six games in 2023 after he played 16 during his rookie campaign. General manager John Schneider said Tuesday that Lucas underwent knee surgery following the 2023 season, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Lucas started 16 games as a rookie in 2022 but battled persistent knee issues last season and was limited to just six appearances. Based on Schneider's comments, Lucas seemingly had more of a cleanup procedure on his knee, and he should be ready well ahead of Week 1 of the 2024 season.
