Bears' Larry Borom: Placed on IR
Borom (ankle) was placed on injured reserve (designated to return) by the Bears on Tuesday, Larry Mayer of the team's official website reports.
Borom suffered an ankle injury in the Bears' preseason finale against the Chiefs on Thursday and he'll now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The offensive tackle will be first eligible to return in Week 5 against the Panthers on Oct. 6.

Bears' Larry Borom: Hurts ankle in preseason finale
Borom suffered an ankle injury in Thursday night's preseason win over the Chiefs, Scott Bair of the Bears' official site reports.
Coach Matt Eberflus said Borom will need further evaluation. In three seasons with the Bears, Borom has appeared in 39 games, making 23 starts, but the 2021 fifth-rounder is expected to handle swing tackle duties this season behind starters LT Braxton Jones and RT Darnell Wright.

Bears' Larry Borom: Gets in full practice Tuesday
Borom (knee) was a full participant at practice Tuesday ahead of Saturday's game versus Buffalo.
After missing Chicago's last two games, Borom appears to be on track to play in Week 16. With Riley Reiff (illness) missing practice Tuesday, the 2021 fifth-rounder Borom was most likely taking reps with the first team and could continue to do so for as long as Reiff remains too sick for football activities.
