Seahawks' Brady Russell: Will be available Week 3
Russell (shoulder) practiced in full Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with Miami, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Russell sat out Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder issue before logging a limited session Thursday. The tight end was able to return to all activity Friday and thus has been cleared heading into the weekend. Though he seems set to suit up Sunday, Russell isn't likely to be a major factor in Seattle's offense because he has logged just 10 offensive snaps through two weeks. Most of his work (50 snaps) has come on special teams.

Seahawks' Brady Russell: Upgrades to limited Thursday
Russell (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Russell opened the week as a DNP on Wednesday, but he was able to practice in a limited capacity Thursday. His participation in Friday's session will provide a better indication of his status for Week 3 against the Dolphins. Russell has primarily operated on special teams over the first two games of the regular season, and while he is listed as the Seahawks' fourth tight end on the depth chart, he could see more action Sunday if Noah Fant (toe) and/or Pharaoh Brown (foot) cannot play.

Seahawks' Brady Russell: Signs ERFA contract
Russell re-signed with the Seahawks on Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Russell was an exclusive rights free agent, so it's no surprise to see him back in Seattle for the 2024 campaign. He suited up for 15 regular-season games as an undrafted rookie last year, playing 308 snaps on special teams and 17 offensive snaps (zero targets).

Seahawks' Brady Russell: Yet to draw target this season
Russell played one of the Seahawks' 61 snaps on offense in Monday's 20-17 win over the Eagles.
The undrafted rookie tight end out of Colorado has seen action in 12 games this season, but he's yet to draw a target while seeing nearly all of his snaps on special teams. He'll likely need the Seahawks to be without at least two of Noah Fant, Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly in a given week before he can take on even a modest role on offense.

Seahawks' Brady Russell: Signed to Seattle's 53-man roster
The Seahawks signed Russell off of the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday.
The undrafted rookie spent the offseason in Philly and caught five passes for 50 yards and one touchdown during the preseason. He'll be roster depth behind Noah Fant, Will Dissly (shoulder) and Colby Parkinson in Seattle.

Brady Russell: Sticking with Philadelphia
The Eagles re-signed Russell to their practice squad Friday.
Russell was released from the Eagles' practice squad Thursday, but the 25-year-old will now rejoin the organization just a day later. Russell will look to make an impression with the team after signing as an undrafted free agent in May.

Brady Russell: Leaving Eagles' practice squad
Philadelphia cut Russell from its practice squad Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The undrafted rookie out of Colorado will now have to look for another opportunity to make an impression with a different team. Russell is old for a rookie at age 25, and only time will tell if he can overcome the late start to catch on at the NFL level.

Brady Russell: Joins Eagles' practice squad
Russell signed with Philadelphia's practice squad Wednesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Russell failed to make the 53-man roster, but the rookie undrafted free agent out of Colorado had a strong training camp and will remain in the Eagles' organization. He's unlikely to get many opportunities to contribute in 2023, as the Eagles have four tight ends on their roster.

Brady Russell: Exits Philly
The Eagles waived Russell on Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Russell joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in May and was competing for a depth tight end role with the club. This was always his likely destination, as he was buried on the team's depth chart, but lasting all the way to final cuts indicates he made a good impression. He will now either get an offer to land on Philly's practice squad or else look for a new opportunity.
