Byers (undisclosed) and the Packers have come to terms on an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Byers signed with the Packers in May as an undrafted free agent. He was facing the possibility of spending his entire rookie campaign on injured reserve before reaching this injury settlement. He can now look for a new oppportunity once his health allows it.

Packers' Akial Byers: Heads to IR
Byers (undisclosed) reverted to the Packers' injured reserve list Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Barring an injury settlement, Byers will be sidelined for the entire 2022 campaign. The 23-year-old signed with the Packers in May as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri.

Akial Byers: Waived/injured Tuesday
Byers (undisclosed) was cut with an injury designation by the Packers on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.
Byers was a non-participant during Green Bay's practice Sunday after he apparently picked up an unspecified injury at some point this preseason, per Hodkiewicz. The undrafted rookie will now pass through waivers before likely reverting to the team's injured reserve, should he go unclaimed.
