  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Done for Week 11 due to concussion

Ferguson has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against Houston due to a concussion, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Ferguson was hurt in the first quarter and subsequently entered concussion protocol. The Cowboys have since ruled their No. 1 tight end out for the remainder of the contest. Ferguson finishes Week 11 with one catch (on one target) for 11 yards. Luke Schoonmaker likely will take on the majority of Dallas' tight-end snaps in Ferguson's stead.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Upgrades to full practice

Ferguson (illness) was a full practice participant Friday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Ferguson will be fine for Monday's matchup with Houston, having missed just one practice due to an illness. The real concern for fantasy is QB play, after Cooper Rush threw for 45 yards last week in his first start of the season.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Comes down with illness

Ferguson didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Ferguson has caught multiple passes in all eight appearances this season en route to a 42-358-0 line on 57 targets. With Dak Prescott (hamstring) out for the season, Ferguson now is on the receiving end of passes from Cooper Rush, but first the tight end will need to get past his current ailment in order to make himself available Monday against the Texans.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Fumble negates mild production

Ferguson caught four of five targets for 24 yards while losing a fumble in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Eagles.

Ferguson led the Cowboys in receiving yardage in a game during which the offense mustered just 66 passing yards. The tight end's mild output was virtually negated when he coughed up one of Dallas' four lost fumbles Sunday. Ferguson was an average fantasy option when Dak Prescott (hamstring) was under center, but with the latter possibly done for the season, it is safe to downgrade the Cowboys' position players if Cooper Rush continues to start against the Texans next Monday.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Leading receiver in loss

Ferguson caught seven of 10 targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Falcons.

CeeDee Lamb led the Cowboys in catches (eight) and targets (12), but Ferguson paced the team in receiving yards in his best performance since he racked up a 6-95-0 line on 11 targets in Week 3. The third-year tight end recorded two of his receptions with Cooper Rush under center in the fourth quarter after Dak Prescott (hamstring) left the game, and if Rush gets the start in Week 10 against the Eagles, Ferguson could see big volume again.

  • Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Does little with eight targets

Ferguson caught six of eight targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the 49ers.

Ferguson didn't get in on the scoring fun that the tight end position enjoyed on National Tight Ends Day in the NFL. Instead, Ferguson had multiple defenders swarming to him on each of his six short catches, none of which went for more than 10 yards. He has at least six catches in four of his last five games, so Ferguson figures to see substantial volume again in Week 9 against the Falcons.
