Brown (undisclosed) was placed on the Jets' injured reserve Sunday, Amanda Vogt and Eric Allen of the team's official site report.
The nature of Brown's injury is not clear, nor when he sustained the injury. However, his placement on IR without a return designation means the 2021 fourth-rounder will be forced to miss the entire upcoming season unless an injury settlement is reached with the Jets. Brown appeared in 10 regular-season games between the Rams and Jets in 2025, finishing with eight tackles (four solo).

The Rams released Brown on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
With the Rams' acquisition of Roger McCreary from the Titans on Monday, Brown appears to be the odd man out at cornerback. After signing with the team in September, Brown appeared in five games for Los Angeles, seeing all of his action on special teams.

Rams' Tre Brown: Headed to Los Angeles
The Rams signed Brown to a one-year contract Tuesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
The move gives the Rams additional depth at corner after Ahkello Witherspoon (collarbone) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Brown was part of the 49ers' training-camp roster but was cut with an injury settlement in early September after suffering a heel injury. The 2021 fourth-rounder logged 26 tackles (21 solo) and one pass defense across 13 regular-season games in 2024 as a member of the Seahawks.

Brown hurt his heel in August and consequently landed on IR. He would have missed the 2025 season had he remained there, but since Brown was able to reach an injury settlement with the 49ers, he'll be able to play this year if he gets healthy and finds work.

Brown was limited to individual work this past week while nursing his heel issue. The 27-year-old inked a deal with San Francisco in mid-March after spending the first four years of his career with the Seahawks. The 2021 fourth-round pick of the Seahawks played out his rookie deal with his original team, making 13 starts in 39 regular-season games, though he only played in five and then six regular-season contests in his first two years due to a knee sprain and a knee injury that required surgery. Brown recorded 26 tackles (21 solo) and a pass defensed on 282 defensive snaps last season, but he also suffered another knee injury in the regular-season finale. In San Francisco, Brown should have a chance to compete for a starting cornerback job.
