Chiefs' Malik Herring: Signs to Chiefs practice squad
Herring (knee) signed to the Chiefs practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After being waived from the 53-man roster so the Chiefs could re-sign Mike Pennel, Herring is back on the team's practice squad. Herring has been with the Chiefs since 2021, appearing in two games so far this year and 12 in 2024.

Chiefs' Malik Herring: Participating again in camp
Herring (knee) was a participant during Kansas City's one-on-one pass-rushing sessions Tuesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Herring missed the entirety of his 2021 rookie campaign after suffering an ACL injury during the pre-draft process last year. The undrafted free agent out of Georgia should compete with Azur Kamara and Joshua Kaindoh for a backup role along the Chiefs' defensive line heading into the regular season.

The Chiefs moved Herring (Knee) to the reserve/NFI list Tuesday.
Herring suffered an ACL injury during a Senior Bowl practice prior to the draft. The UDFA out of Georgia will be forced to miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season after the move.
