Packers' Chris Brooks: Snap counts stay favorable
Brooks was targeted twice and had two receptions for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-19 victory over the Bears.
Brooks did not tally a carry Sunday and was the third Packers running back to enter the contest, but for the third time in as many he finished with more snaps (10) than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, who was on the field for only three offensive plays Week 11. One of the two remains the backup behind Josh Jacobs with the return of MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/hamstring/appendix) again delayed, but it's tough to pinpoint exactly who is the No. 2 back.

Packers' Chris Brooks: Continues making impact
Brooks had two carries for 13 yards and three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.
Brooks made some noise for the third time in four games, and although he finished relatively even with fellow backup Emanuel Wilson in both snaps and touches, he was the first running back to enter the game behind starter Josh Jacobs, and he could have matched Wilson in the touchdown column had he and quarterback Jordan Love connected on a short pass in the first quarter. Brooks is gaining momentum, but the Packers are on bye Week 10 and could get back rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) before they take the field again, so Brooks may not be a priority addition quite yet.

Packers' Chris Brooks: Gets involved in win
Brooks had four carries for 16 yards and one reception for one yard in Sunday's 30-27 victory over the Jaguars.
Brooks was the third Packers running back to get work Sunday, but he finished with just one fewer touch than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, and he also wound up playing 17 snaps to Wilson's 12. There hasn't been an official changing of the guard behind starter Josh Jacobs, and another ball carrier -- MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) -- could be back soon, but Brooks is more than an afterthought in the Green Bay backfield at this point.

Packers' Chris Brooks: Gets work in easy win
Brooks had four carries for 21 yards in Sunday's 34-13 victory over the Cardinals.
The Packers gave Brooks some work while holding a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, and he responded with a couple nice runs. His spot on the roster will be in jeopardy when fellow running back MarShawn Lloyd (IR, ankle) returns, but he figures to remain Green Bay's third running back until then.

Packers' Chris Brooks: Makes Packers debut
Brooks had three carries for three yards in Sunday's 30-14 victory over the Titans.
Brooks saw his first work since joining the Packers in early September, but he did not take a carry until Green Bay's final drive when the outcome was all but decided. Brooks will operate as the third running back in Green Bay until MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) is ready to return, but he will presumably be a distant third option given the way fellow ball carriers Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson have performed to date.

Packers' Chris Brooks: Inks to active roster
The Packers signed Brooks to the active roster from the practice squad Tuesday.
Brooks bumps up to the 53-man roster following the placement of rookie MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve. He figures to work as Green Bay's third-string running back behind Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson during Sunday's road matchup against the Colts.

Chris Brooks: Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Brooks to their practice squad Tuesday.
Brooks has seemingly recovered from the concussion that landed him on Miami's injured reserve before his subsequent release Monday, and he will now head to Green Bay. With MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and Emanuel Wilson (hip) both dealing with injuries, Brooks could end up being elevated to the active roster for the team's Week 1 game versus the Eagles on Friday.

Chris Brooks: Gets cut loose
Brooks (concussion) reached an injury settlement with the Dolphins on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Brooks will now have the opportunity to sign with another team once he can clear the league's concussion protocols, instead of spending the 2024 campaign on injured reserve. The BYU product appeared in nine regular-season games for Miami last season, gaining 106 yards on 19 carries.

Chris Brooks: Waived/injured by Miami
The Dolphins waived/injured Brooks (concussion) on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Brooks entered the concussion protocol eight days ago. If he clears waivers, he'll likely be cut with an injury settlement, allowing Brooks to find a new home once healthy. As a rookie last season, Brooks rushed 19 times for 106 yards but wasn't targeted in the passing game.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Dealing with concussion
Brooks entered concussion protocol after Monday's practice session, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
The second-year running back out of BYU was likely on the outside looking in at Miami's 53-man roster, and this concussion further diminishes his chances. Once Brooks returns to the field, he's expected to compete for a depth role in the team's RB room or a spot on the Dolphins' practice squad.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Modest production in rookie season
Brooks played seven snaps on special teams during Sunday's 21-14 loss to Buffalo. Across nine appearances as a rookie this season, he rushed 19 times for 106 yards (5.6 YPC).
Brooks only handled offensive snaps in four of nine appearances as a rookie, but he looked competent in Miami's rushing scheme in limited action. A stint on IR due to an ankle injury suffered Week 6 briefly halted Brooks' progress, but he'll remain available as a depth option for Miami's hopeful playoff run. In deeper dynasty formats, the age of Raheem Mostert (knee) and Jeff Wilson ahead of Brooks on the depth chart makes him an interesting long-term stash.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Joins active roster
Brooks (ankle/knee) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday.
Brooks hasn't played since Week 6 against the Panthers when he suffered an ankle sprain that led to his stint on IR. The return of the BYU product will bolster the depth of the Dolphins' backfield, where he'll slot in behind Raheem Mostert, De'Von Achane and likely Jeff Wilson.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Won't return from IR in Week 15
Brooks (ankle/knee) is officially out for Sunday's game versus the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Brooks was designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 29, but he hasn't yet been activated. The rookie running back logged a trio of limited practices during Week 15 prep, though it's unclear how close he is to be able to return. Brooks' practice windows closes this coming Tuesday, and if Miami doesn't activate him by then, he'll be forced to sit out the remainder of the season.

Brooks (ankle) will not be activated off of injured reserve before Monday's game against the Titans, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
Brooks was able to log full practices this week, but he'll remain sidelined for Week 14. The BYU product is still in the middle of his 21-day practice window with the team since being designated to return from IR on Nov. 29. His next opportunity to suit up will be Week 15 against the Jets.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Will not return Week 13
Brooks (ankle) will not return from injured reserve Sunday against the Commanders, as the Dolphins have downgraded him to out, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Brooks was designated to return from IR earlier in the week, which opened a 21-day window for him to be activated. With the Dolphins opting to err on the side of caution, his next opportunity to be activated will come in the Week 14 tilt against the Titans. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since Week 6 due to an ankle injury.

Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Could play Week 13
Brooks (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The rookie running back out of BYU was able to log a week of limited practice sessions, and he has a chance to appear in his first game since Week 6 this Sunday. The Dolphins have yet to activate Brooks to their active roster though, which must be done in order for the 23-year-old to play in Week 13.
